Rogues can excell in different forms of combat depending on their rift rogue builds. If you like the sound of using stealth, poisons and powerful instant attacks, then try using a variation of the Riftstalker, Saboteur and Assassin build. This build focuses more on the Riftstalker and Assassin trees due to the early critical strike chance increase in the Assassin tree and the attack power increase in the Riftstalker build. If this sounds like one of the rift rogue builds that could make you fearsome in player versus player combat, then try experimenting with the trees as it has quite the flexibility, as you can increase your survivability to last longer in battle.
Rift Rogue Builds
Another good build is the Riftstalker, Bladedancer, and Assassin build that has very low downtime and a good kill speed, making your time leveling up a bit less hectic. In this build, Bladedancer will be the main focus, but also try to get the 5% increase in critical strike from the Assassin build and the dodge from Bladedancer. Spending talent points in the Boosted Recovery talent, Exceptional resilience and the Rift Scavenger talents in the Riftstalker build serves to decrease downtime, allowing for less time spent keeping yourself alive between battles. Altogether rift rogue builds are never set in stone and experimenting with them, makes the game fun, less tedious and keeps you drawn in much longer.
The interesting thing about the Rogue is that it is also a good ranged class. Choosing the Marksman Soul along with the Assassination, and depending if you want a pet or not, Ranger or the Nightblade soul can bring about a different kind of gameplay if you are used to melee but want to try ranged. Note, however, that you will be vulnerable in close ranged combat. Single Minded Focus, Repelling Shot and Increased Fire Power will be your earliest talents in the Marksman build. These particular rift rogue builds focus on keeping the foe away to minimalize your damage and maximize yours, and depending on the situation, if you decide to use the Ranger instead of the Nightblade, then it could suite to keep yourself safe for longer periods of time than with the Nightblade, as the pet could serve as a distraction.
Let’s not forget the Bard soul, as it provides the capability of acting as a supportive healing soul to keep allies alive. Motifs can be used to buff yourself and party members temporarily with things such as increased attack power and increased spell power, fanfares are long term buffs that last for 30 minutes to an hour, Codas are used to damage and debuff enemies, and Anthems are used to heal. Try mixing classes to increase your effectiveness depending on what you want to focus on in this interesting build.
Rift Rogue Builds – Conclusion
Overall, experiment, try things out and have fun. Nothing is a must, remember to use the right stats in your equipment to augment your particular rift rogue builds properly. Try to focus on one soul in the rift rogue builds as your overall role in combat.
